| Abstract | Image segmentation finds the delineation of objects. Each segment may correspond to the shape of the object in real world. Rectangular segments should be used to represent rectangular urban objects as some roofs and pools. This work proposes an object-based approach to the foreground segmentation process of remotely sensed urban area images considering a joint consideration of both spectral and shape attributes for each segment. We present a method to segment rectangular objects by adjusting the shape. After detecting the segments the algorithm corrects its pixel shape. The contour is rotated and resized to best fit the both image DN and object shape by considering the image radiometry and detected borders. This work presents the research that was divided in some papers to provide every aspect in detail and the developing stage. RESUMO: A segmentação de imagens é um processo que delineia os objetos. A forma de cada segmento de imagem deve corresponder ao objeto real. É esperado que segmentos retangulares representem objetos urbanos retangulares. Este trabalho propõe o uso de uma abordagem baseada em objeto para a segmentação de foreground em imagens de área urbana que considera conjuntamente os atributos espectrais e de forma para cada segmento. Para segmentar os objetos retangulares levando em conta a forma, após detectar os segmentos, faz-se uma correção dos pixels. O contorno sofre rotação e redimensionamento para ajustar tanto o nível de cinza quanto a forma do objeto em função da radiometria e de bordas detectadas. Este trabalho apresenta o estágio de desenvolvimento atual da pesquisa, que foi dividida em partes para detalhar diferentes aspectos e possibilidades. |
